Interesting list of celebrities who once lived on the street, in a car, or at a homeless shelter. Some surprises: Kelly Clarkson, Daniel Craig, David Letterman, and John Woo.
Actually, it's terrible to think about all the people in the US (and around the world) who live in incredible poverty and never escape it (like the people on this list did...).
Can't we do better?
Oh, that's right, I live in "every man for himself" America, where socialism is a terrifying word (and has brought us such evils as Social Security and Medicare) and we're mad as hell that our taxes pay to educate our children, keep our streets safe, and pick up the garbage! (And madder still that the rich might be forced to pay their share, too!)
