Milwaukee mayor beaten with metal pipe.

From CNN:
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett was in stable condition Sunday at a local hospital after he was attacked by a man with a metal pipe at the Wisconsin State Fair on Saturday night, police said.

The attack occurred at 10:45 p.m. at the state fair in West Allis, Wisconsin, as Barrett was leaving the event with his family.

According to Milwaukee Police, Barrett heard a woman crying for help.

When he began calling 911, the man who had been attacking the woman charged at the mayor and began battering him with a metal pipe, according to a statement released by the Milwaukee Police Department.

The suspect then fled the scene.

Notice a lack of description of the suspect. Milwaukee is where in the 2002 Summerfest Blacks went around attacking Whites while yelling anti-White things and the Black police chief called the attacks "random." This is the same police chief that cost the city $2.2 Million because he discriminated against White officers.

Why didn't the mayor just pull out his handgun, shoot the subject, and stop the attempted murder? Oh... that's right! Wisconsin is one of the only two states left that does not allow concealed or open-carry. Sure glad I live in Colorado where I can be pretty sure that several people in a State Fair crowd will draw and kill to protect my wife or kids if I'm not present to do the job. I moved out of Illinois (the other intransigent) because the law prevented me from carrying a firearm to protect my teenage children from gang recruiters and drive-bys. Maybe the Wisconsin legislature will finally get the message that these kinds of incidents almost completely disappear when law-abiding citizens go armed. On the other hand, I have no hope for Obama-land Illinois.
